The American Alsatian is a rare breed of dog founded in the USA as a large breed lap dog. They are gentle and quiet, calm and loving. They are not working dogs and do not have high drive. They are intelligent and watchful of their masters. Their calm nature and quick ability to learn your rules creates an excellent service dog. That being said, some have a tendency to be uninterested and/or shy of others outside of their family, so for those few who exhibit this trait, good socializing gets them over their weakness. This is a video compilation of Citara, a 2 year old American Alsatian, and various moments throughout her training. She has recently switched from trailing to airscent after finally successfully trailing on tracks that were aged 12 hours. We hope to certify through Search and Rescue Dogs of Colorado in another year as an airscent dog team. Wish us luck. There's still so much to do. Who said volunteering was easy. :)

These 4 week old Alsatian Shepalute puppies have just been brought into the house for supplement feedings and for further temperament/character testings. They have been in the barn and have only been handled twice in recent tests to see how they would react to human beings. All in all the amount of time these two pups have had with human contact has been 15 minutes. In this video we set up the puppy room for our two pups, got the camera and brought the pups in for the very first time in thier lives. They have been outside in weather which got down to 14 degrees but they have been under shelter and in straw. These two pups are what i consider 'raw' and all my testing is done on only 'raw'...
